Latest Update:

Sweet Sea was adopted today by Mitch Stoler and Kara Krause of Denton, TX. They have been wanting a second dog for some time as a companion to their 11-year-old cocker spaniel, Myles, and the first thing they noticed when they saw a picture of Sea was that she sits exactly like he does! It was love at first sight for everyone when they met, and shy Sea could not stop looking at her new parents. They have been shopping in preparation of bringing Sea home for new beds, blankets, collars and bowls; and Kara admitted she could not sleep last night she was so excited! Their dogs are their children, so Sea will be perfectly spoiled and loved for the rest of her life. Mitch and Kara have a list of names and will wait to learn more about Sea’s personality to decide which one is the best fit for her. We cannot wait to hear what name they choose, and see the adventures of Myles and his new little sister on the Happy Tails page!

About Sea:
We have 3 Cocker Poodle mix puppies that came to us. I do not know if this one might be their mama, we just don’t have the information. She is 5 years old and she is a cocker Spaniel.

Say hello to Sea.

UPDATE 3/5/2022

Sea is in a house for what I assume is the first time in her life. Not surprisingly, this is overwhelming for an already very scared little girl. She was frantically searching our house for an escape route, so we brought out a little pen and put her off to the side with some soft blankets as a safe spot to start decompressing in. She’s got a long way ahead of her, but for the moment, she is sleeping soundly.

UPDATE 2/23/2022

Sea is a very, very shy Cocker that runs from you in fear of humans, but when you can sit with her and give her some one on one time she is very calm.

UPDATE 2/8/2022

This poor mill mommy Sea is just afraid of everything, but the gears are turning in her head and she’s making small progress every day.

UPDATE 2/6/2022

This is Sea, a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel lady. She is very people shy and pretty hand shy with us humans. It took 2 people to catch her this am as she’s quite afraid of us. I got her on leash and was able to sit with her and scratch her chest, she would soften to me pretty quick so that was good. The other good thing is she’s very interested in other dogs so she’s in the perfect place to learn from the other pack members just who we are, and that we’re not that scary. 💖
