Latest Update:
Donna Crandell from Tyler, Texas was undeterred when Laura interviewed her on the phone in discussion of Snap the chocolate Havanese who has suffered the damage that many mill dogs suffer from, lack of human contact, zero socialization and very little trust. It’s not for everyone, but it was for her.
Today Donna drove out to meet Snap and decided for sure if she wanted to take him home and it was a yes..
Snap has left the building! Donna is headed home with her new little man. Snaps new name will be Skeeter and he will have a little Boston to show him the ropes. Donna will keep us posted on the Happy Tails page as she knows he is a volunteer favorite.
We wish them a long happy life together
This boy is one of three breeder release dogs that we were asked to take by another rescue (Camo). Ticks were quite a problem and our volunteer groomer Liz went to work on cleaning them up and removing the ticks. We have absolutely no information about anything on these dogs, no age, no medical history…absolutely nothing.
All we know is this boy is a Havanese, and is a male..
We shall call him Snap and welcome him to his new life with Dog Ranch Rescue.
UPDATE 5/14/2021
We are needing a home for Snap. He is a Havanese and is a very shy boy who will require a very patient home to help him learn how to be a pet and not just a breeder dog. This is the task so many times, and what true rescue is about.
