Little, red-headed Tigger is the first of the Aussie pups to find their forever home!
I’m Jennah LaVerne, I live in McKinney, TX, and I have been working for LSDR & DRR for almost 2 years now. Last year I welcomed sweet Clementine (fka Guinevere) into my little pack. And I couldn’t be more happy with how she has grown in the last year, with her anxiety and self confidence issues. Before getting Clem, I had gotten a miniature Australian shepherd back in 2020, my COVID puppy and my heart dog, Clover. Aussies have always been my breed of choice, growing up alongside two Aussies in my childhood. I just love everything about them; the intelligence, the energy to go, go, go all day with you, the goofiness, and their big hearts. So it’s no surprise that upon the arrival of the four pups and their dad to the rescue, I was already well aware that I’d be a goner.
Meeting him was like something out of a movie. I had already seen his picture in our group chat, prior to his arrival at the rescue. It definitely gave me butterflies, he looked so much like Clover at that age. When he saw me for the first time, he immediately lit up and ran right to me. Solidifying that I was in fact, a goner.
After much discussion, my boyfriend, Ryan, and I decided that he’d be the perfect addition to our pack and to rename Tigger, Red. Red will have plenty of playmates during his days at the ranch at work with me, but at home he’ll have 3 sisters; Clover the black tri mini Aussie, Clementine the DDB, and Beesly the black cat.
We are so happy to get to welcome him into Ryan and I’s little family! We love you so much already, Red! Our handsome little man
