Back in 2020, Juanita and Sherif Sharawi of Heath, TX reached out hoping to adopt Sandy Weeks. The wait ended up being longer than any of us expected—Sandy surprised us all by secretly carrying nine puppies in her little King Charles Cavalier belly. At five years old, that unexpected litter became her last, and from there she went on to live a wonderfully charmed life. She sadly passed earlier this year, but she was blessed to spend just as many years outside the puppy mills as she had inside them. Recently, Juanita contacted us again after seeing the new Cavalier girls we had rescued. Only one was still available, as the others were already pending, and that lucky girl was the girl with the cute little freckles, Cover Girl. She’ll have a new name soon, but for now she’s settling into her new beginning with Juanita and Sherif. She’s very shy, yet with a quiet home and many years ahead to bond with the Sharawis, we know she was rescued just in time. Have a happy life Cover Girl!About Cover Girl:
One of the three aged out pups, they are not sisters and all have different birthdates. When pups don’t sell by the time they are 5 months old they are not wanted anymore. That 8 or 10 week old puppy in the window phase is gone so they want to get rid of them.
This girl as born on 6/29/2025 so just 5 months old but for sure aged out.
