Our sweet June was adopted today. She met her new mama, Anne Plakakis from Concord, NC.

In May of last year Anne lost her English Bulldog to cancer and he was her best buddy. After following our rescue efforts for some time she felt that she was ready to have a new little love in her life and June was her girl. Anne is retired and will have all the time needed to help June adjust to her new life.

Her new name shall be Stella and she will want for nothing. 💕

About June:

The Rescue responded to a “surrender” of dogs by a backyard breeder in South Texas in July. These dogs were all roaming out on this man’s land, a man who is being charged and tried for animal abuse and neglect. Our wonderful transporters brought home this Month-themed group. The conditions of all of these dogs were appalling, pitiful. This girl is no exception:

She has massive fleas, giardia and skin infection and is still unsure of all this newness. She is clean and safe now, and will be assessed by Dr. D very soon.

Her name is June and she’s about a year old.
