Ragamuffin

9/20/25 Pupdate:

What a little doll Miss Ragamuffin is! When she first arrived, she was shy and very tired, spending most of her time in deep sleep. The first few days were a little rough—mostly nerves, I think, that caused her to throw up a bit. To help her adjust, I started feeding her small meals throughout the day and taking her outside often. At first I carried her in and out until she got the hang of it. She’s still learning about doing her business outside, but she consistently uses pee pads and has already gone outside a few times—earning lots of praise each time. I don’t think it will take her long to catch on.

She loves her small dental kibble treats and looks for them when she comes inside. Though still a bit skittish, Ragamuffin has made great progress. She used to “pancake” when I tried to pick her up, but now she’s happy to be carried and absolutely melts for belly rubs. She even comes over to give kisses when she feels like it—which I feel truly honored to receive!

Ragamuffin is 3 years old and about 20 lbs. She was in heat when she arrived, so she’ll be ready for her spay in about a month. She’s a gorgeous Frenchie with soulful eyes, the cutest little short legs, and a personality that’s really starting to shine. She’ll play by bouncing and hopping around, and I love watching her run in the yard…. those little feet moving so fast.

Right now, Ragamuffin is eating well, taking her medicine (cheese only no pill pockets, please!), and sleeping soundly through the night. She’s blossoming more every day and will be a dream Frenchie for one very lucky family.
