This raffle offering brings together three standout expressions from Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co., a distillery celebrated for doing things the traditional way—using a sweet mash process, non-chill filtration, and carefully selected barrels to create whiskeys with bold character and remarkable depth.
Together, Peerless Toasted Bourbon, Peerless Double Oak Bourbon, and Peerless High Rye Bourbon offer three very different journeys through the influence of grain, oak and finishing.
Peerless Toasted Bourbon begins its life aging in a traditional char #3 barrel before being finished in a secondary toasted oak barrel. That additional time with toasted wood creates a softer, sweeter expression layered with honey, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and warm baking spices. It’s rich without becoming overpowering and beautifully showcases what a toasted finish can add to an already complex bourbon.
Peerless Double Oak Bourbon takes oak influence to another level. After its initial maturation, the whiskey is transferred into a second new oak barrel, allowing it to extract another layer of flavor and complexity. The result is a deep, robust bourbon filled with dark cocoa, caramel, heavily toasted oak and roasted-nut character. Of these three bottles, Double Oak delivers the richest and most intense profile.
Peerless High Rye Bourbon changes the experience once again by increasing the rye content in the mash bill. That extra rye introduces a livelier, spicier personality while maintaining the underlying sweetness of the bourbon. Look for notes of candied oak and charred orange balanced by vibrant herbal and tea-like freshness—a wonderful contrast to the sweeter Toasted and oak-driven Double Oak expressions.
