Tiny dachshund Abbot met his new family today. Monique and Landon from Frisco TX braved some crazy stormy weather to meet this little guy. They were immediately smitten and spent time passing him around for puppy snuggles. They have an 18 month old Golden Retriever named Margo at home who will love having a friend to grow up with. They also have 5 teenagers so Abbot’s feet will likely never touch the ground again. His new name will be Benny and we look forward to seeing updates on the Happy Tails page soon. This little guy will for sure be heading to Jenns for foster, he is too young to stay at the sanctuary. The catalog says he came from a good mom and “should make a good addition to your program” Quick reminder the vast majority of these dogs sold at auction are sold from one breeder to another, only a few make it to rescue, its very difficult for these dogs to leave this life and he along with all of the others coming to us today have one the lottery thanks to all of you.
