Aberdeen’s sister, Dalwhinnie, was adopted earlier and we heard from her new owner that she is thriving in her new home, so today it was finally Aberdeen’s turn. Longtime DRR friend and previous adopter Selene Poole reached out about her, and of course we said yes — who could resist this tiny ball of love?
Her spay took a little extra time since she went into heat, but everything lined up perfectly today. With Shawn holding down the fort at home with their other pups, Selene flew in from Missoula, MT, to meet Aberdeen and whisk her home. Now renamed Abby, she’ll enjoy a life filled with love, a stay‑at‑home dad, and plenty of furry siblings.
After a long day of travel, Abby was exhausted, but the pack welcomed her with gentle sniffs and made sure she passed the vibe check — and she absolutely did. They’re a wonderfully sweet group of pups, and she fit right in.
Ironically Selene and Shawn adopted Mitchie’s sister Marley, sadly she passed away a little while back. How ironic is that once again we own siblings. Posie Claire sends her best to her sister.
Best of life to you, Abby. We hope to see your sweet face on Happy Tails soon — your sister will want to know how you’re doing.
We’re gonna go with Scottish names cause I think that makes it funnier 
She was #47 in the auction and our first dog secured to rescue for the day.
She was born on 2/18/22 making her only 4 years old. We hope she gets many years as a loved pet and are very happy to have her with us. As usual, Dr. Reno will start on her vetting needs immediately.
