Latest Update:

The three baby bears — Andy, Robin, and Maurice — are an absolute handful. They haven’t quite learned their manners yet, and because they’ve been separated (one at the Ranch, one at the Sanctuary, and one with foster mom Ana), they’ve each developed their own brand of dorky charm. When we talk to potential adopters, we always say the same thing: they’re incredibly friendly, but they need structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities to wear themselves out.
We found exactly that in the Verville family.
Andy is the first of the trio to be adopted, and we truly couldn’t have imagined a better match. Julie has extensive experience fostering dogs, and when she fostered a Great Dane, her four kids banded together and told Mom and Dad they wanted a bigger dog of their own. They still have two Frenchies at home, but with kids ages 9–14, the Frenchies are more suited for cuddling. Andy, on the other hand, is built for running, playing, and burning off energy — and we predict he’ll be worn out in no time. As we always say, a tired dog is a good dog.
Julie brought her oldest daughter to the adoption, and she helped wrangle Andy on the drive back to The Woodlands. Andy wasn’t too sure about walking on a leash to the car, so Julie scooped him up and carried him. That won’t be an option for much longer, so leash training is definitely on the horizon.
We don’t know his new name yet — that may require a family meeting and a little negotiating — but one thing is certain: Andy has landed exactly where he belongs.
