We’ve rescued Brussels Griffons before, but it’s been a while and we’ve never rescued four at once! The response was overwhelming, with so many wonderful applications to read. Honestly, we couldn’t go wrong with most of them. When reaching out to the applicants, we made sure to let everyone know that not being chosen doesn’t mean they’re not a great potential home—just that another applicant happened to be a better match for a particular dog.

Christina Coke is a perfect match for Avatar. She has over 20 years of experience with the breed, having recently lost her 18-year-old Brussels Griffon. Christina currently has a 2-year-old Brussels named Henry, who will help Avatar come out of her shell. Henry goes to work with her daily and has access to a huge, fenced yard at home. In fact, Christina has two separate fenced yards: one for large dogs that come to visit and another for Henry, Avatar, and the smaller dogs. We’re confident that Avatar will lack for nothing in Christina’s care.

We’ve also shared all about Happy Tails with Christina, so we can keep track of how Avatar is doing in her new home. While we don’t know Avatar’s new name yet, we’re wishing her a lifetime of happiness. Enjoy your new life, Avatar!
