Latest Update:

Bambino is off to live her best life with Linda Pricer in Fort Worth, TX. Linda lost her senior Chihuahua and was looking for a little dog to keep her company. She has had poodles in the past and was excited to give Bambino a home. Linda learned about the rescue from one of her daughters who has adopted a few French Bulldogs from DRR – Lucy (fka Sweet Potato), Flamingo (fka Vanna) and Maverick (fka Dragon). Linda has two daughters who visit her often and bring their dogs along so in addition to play dates with the Frenchies, Bambino will also get to spend time with two Chihuahaus. Bambino takes a while to warm up to new people but Linda is not deterred and will give her the time and patience she needs to get to know her new family. Bambino will now be known as Pippa. Both daughters had a list of potential names and Pippa was on both lists so it seems it was meant to be. Have an amazing life little miss diva Bambino/Pippa. We can’t wait to see you smiling and playing on the Happy Tails page soon.

About Bambino:
9/21/25 Pupdate:
Week 2 update on Little Miss Diva Bambino. She has found her voice and a cute little hop when she is running around. She only uses her voice when she wants the other dogs to play. If I cant find her I only have to look directly behind me and there she is, my tiny 6 pound shadow. She naps within a few inches of me but if I move she will sometimes still move away. Inching closer every day. By next week she will probably be in my lap. Her tail is wagging more and more. She is a sweet girl and it’s so fun to see her personality shining through.

9/14/25 Pupdate:
Little Miss Diva Bambino has had a great first week. She has learned the routine and has decided grass is not the enemy (except first thing in the morning with the dew). She is now going potty outside like a good girl. She has tried out chew bones and then had to learn about sharing. She does well when given corrections. She is starting to run around with the other dogs and is thinking about initiating play. You can literally see the gears turning inside that head of hers just processing all the new things she is being exposed to. She follows me everywhere and keeps a close eye on what I’m doing but she isn’t a snuggly dog…..yet. She lets me pick her up without running away. I will take that as progress. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

The last of our group is the pregnant Toy Poodle, she looks shell shocked and that is to be expected, these dogs have no idea what is happening to them, pulled out of their mill, drug to an auction, tossed up on a table with people shouting and yelling with an auctioneer over a loud microphone. how could they be anything but terrified. This little girl will go home with Jenn today.
