Latest Update:
I’m going to close the night early so we can have our own Thanksgiving with a very happy story that we can all be thankful for on this thanksgiving day…
It turns out one of our clients at the Ranch loved Bayou the first time she was with us but they didn’t have room to adopt. Jason and Tricia from Grapevine have since lost one of their pack so when Bayou came back she immediately contacted us. Laura went over the situation with Tricia on the phone and she was very much on board with keeping things under control at the house with rules, boundaries and toys that every dog needs but Bayou particularly.
Travis finished late a few nights ago and loaded up Bayou into the car and drove her over to their home to do proper introductions and to point out the issues in their home, and to give them the tools they need to make sure everything flows smoothly. We got updates over the last couple of days that things were going well and that they just wanted to see if there was going to be any issues that arose with a crowd of people coming for the holiday.
We got word this morning that its official, they are 100% in love and Bayou is forever home. Her new name will be Riley Kate and this time is the last time she will have to move to another home.
Happy life Riley Kate, and Happy Thanksgiving…
Good. night everyone!
About Bayou:
******Bayou has been returned after living in her adoptive home for one year. Bayou has trouble sharing toys and didn’t want to play with the dog in the home. Bayou is a good girl who needs a home that will make sure that toys aren’t an issue and keep harmony in the home.
This tiny girl was found in a shelter in Louisiana and we were contacted about rescuing her. She’s about a year and a half, and is a Bordeaux mix with long legs and a brindle coat.
However, with Thanksgiving quickly approaching when the Ranch will be at capacity, we just don’t have room for this girl. We all voted and it was a “no” except Travis. He was relentless and loved her shiny lip. He said we’re taking her even if she has to come home with him along with the other three red bears over the holidays.
So with that she has been rescued and Laura arranged her transport to the Ranch using our ever-trusted Transport Page. And because all dogs that we rescue out of Louisiana will come with a name from that state, we’d like to welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue, Bayou.
