Latest Update: About Bibble:
  • Bibble! Is she a dog, or an alien with an exceptionally cute mug? We may never know. This little lady is back with DRR after being returned by her adopters ☹. We learned that Bibble is not a dog that does well when crated. She prefers a larger space, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or even a baby gated bedroom when she needs to be left alone. She is still very young and will require help with potty training. A dog door could work for her as well. Most importantly, Bibble needs a home where people are there the majority of the time. She is a dog who wants to be with her people, and once you meet her, you’ll want to hang out with Bibble 24/7, too! She gets along well with all dogs, and is hanging out at the Ranch until you’re ready to add her to your family!

From Renee:
Bibble is back….

Here is what we learned.

Bibble will not live in a home where she is crated.

Bibble has made it very clear, she will not be crated, Bibble has deteriorated in a home that requires her to be crated. She will pee it, she will poop it, and she has gotten worse, and worse, and worse while it is continued to try and make it work.

She will wander in a home and pee where she isn’t supposed to, so this is going to take a specific owner, with a specific lifestyle and a specific understanding that Bibble will not crate.

Some people just don’t realize it, or they won’t accept it, but the reality is there, some dogs cannot be crated, and they never will adapt to it, so you have to do something else.

Bibble was with us at the sanctuary and at the ranch, she complained about confinement verbally but she did not soil her den, she spent hours and hours with freedom to be with us all day long so she did not retaliate with pee and poop when confined. She went to a home where standard practice is to crate at night and crate when not home.

Bibble says no, she will not do that and after discussing with her family it was clear that she just isn’t a good fit for their lifestyle, and of course their patience had worn thin. This is not knock on them, its just the reality sometimes, we asked them to please return her, and we are positive that Bibble will find a new home that will be able to balance the issues that she has. An unhappy dog can be a challenge and Bibble was unhappy and so was her family.

Bibble needs a home where she is with her people all the time, where she doesn’t have free roam of the house and their job will be to find a place for her to be when you are not home that isn’t a crate where she won’t soil it.

It’s as simple as that…
