Latest Update:
Over a year ago Nathalie Picard adopted a Bulldog puppy named Pork Chop from us, and at that time she had a big Mastiff as well. About three weeks ago she lost her to cancer and it was at the same time I posted the story about Bogie coming back to us. Her husband said let’s adopt her, but Nathalie said it was too soon and she wasn’t ready. Nathalie follows our page day in and day out and Bogie tugged at her and her husband who was ready. I then wrote the post about not having any applicants for Bogie, and that’s when Nathalie knew Bogie was supposed to be with her.
She emailed Laura and that was that! A pre-approved home requires no work on our end, we already know what kind of home it is. Nathalie drove out from Grand Saline today to pick up her new family member. Bogie and Pork Chop bowed and wrestled in the waiting room and off they went to their new life together. Timing is everything, and for Bogie the time was today.
Happy life big girl, enjoy your new family.
We rescued her as a pup at a mill auction, she was fostered by Cate in Chicago and her name was Failia. She was adopted by one of our volunteers and off she went to her forever life. Like all dogs, however, Bogie needs to have a leader in the home she lives, where she is loved and given boundaries. Bogie and her brother would both challenge each other for their mom’s attention who they knew couldn’t lead the situation. When an owner won’t take charge there is conflict, so Bogie has come back to the Rescue.
Bogie is a very sweet dog who is pretty submissive at the Ranch with other dogs. The problem here is not the dog, and Bogie will be a great dog in any home where an owner is in charge.
So here we have it, Bogie is in need of a home, she just had her first birthday so basically for a DDB she is still a pup because they are not full grown until they are two years old.
She is completely vetted and ready to go. Let’s welcome her back and find her that perfect home and family!
