Brown n Serve

Adopted!
New Name: Lucy
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female
Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux
Weight: 63 pounds
Current Location: Henderson, NV
Adoption Date: February 26, 2022
Adopted by: The Davidson family
Latest Update:
Brown N Serve (Brownie) has waited patiently for the right family to come along and be the perfect fit for her, and today was her special day! She is being adopted by the Davidson family and Henderson, NV will be her destination today…VIVA LAS VEGAS! She will only get to enjoy the lights, glitz and glamour of Vegas for a short bit since the family will be moving back to their hometown of Minot, ND. We know Brownie is going to LOVE the cold and snow of North Dakota.
Jennifer and Nick’s daughter, Peyton, had a soccer tournament and could not come to her adoption but her brother Nolan was able to come and help with some of the driving back to NV today. Brownies new name will be Lucy and she was named by Peyton. She will be meeting big brothers Mowgli the pug and Manning the Frenchie.
Lucy’s new family has fostered pugs in the past and they are totally onboard with helping her blossom in her own time in their home. She immediately jumped up on mom to get some love so she may be her person for a bit as she figures out her new home and feels comfortable.
Although she will be missed by her foster family, we know her new family is the perfect match and she will be loved and cherished there. Jennifer is already on Happy tails and promises to update on there once they get settled.
About Brown n Serve:
This Dogue de Bordeaux sibling was born on 2/1/21.
Formerly # 103

Say hello to Brown N Serve 🥰

UPDATE 1/27/2022
Brown N Serve’s very first birthday is February 1st. How nice it would be for her to have a family for her birthday. She was born in a mill and has lived there for nearly all of her puppy hood until she was sold at an auction. Brownie is a sweet girl who loves kids and other dogs, she’s a little apprehensive with men and a few of her siblings were as well. She has a little bit of separation anxiety in a crate and gets out of them so Christi just doesn’t crate her and she has not been destructive. Her housebreaking continues to be a work in progress and for those reasons we need a home for Brownie where people work from home so she has her mama or daddy around most of the time to help her past these things. Brownie loves Wyatt so much Christi says she can’t even get a video of how fast she runs up the stairs to jump in his bed to kiss him. Kids would be ideal for this girl, she loves them so much.

UPDATE 1/25/2022
“Hi everyone! It’s me again! Brownie! I try and make sure you all can see the latest and greatest pics of me over here at my foster house. I had an overnight at the ranch this weekend which was amazing! I got to see my sister and her new brother and had lots of fun. I came back and got a bath cause I brought some of the ranch home with me with all my rolling around. 😊
All of my brothers and sisters have all been adopted now and it just leaves me, why am I last? I don’t know.
I’m just chillin’ over here being a good girl and making good choices ❤️

So will you try and help me find the right family for me?”

UPDATE 1/21/2022
Still looking for the right fit for Brown N Serve, a little reminder about what she needs. Brownie is sisters to all of her litter mates that have already found their homes. She is the last young Bordeaux in the group. She loves kids, she loves playing, she is a little apprehensive with men but is working past that. She would need a family that has someone home and is not a good candidate for a 8 to 5 working away from home family.
Christi sends us this update:

Hi everyone! Guess what…I’m still here! Foster mom cannot believe that I don’t have a home yet. She says I’m a good girl and I have the routine down. I also like to whine when she leaves me home with my foster dad. He tells me everything is going to be just fine. The moment I hear the car, I run to the door cause I know my foster mom is home! ❤️ I hope I will get my very own family soon. 🙏

UPDATE 1/19/2022

We are still looking for more applications for Brown N Serve (aka Brownie). She is a little more shy than her sister. She has not done well with a crate, so her foster mom doesn’t put her in one. She has taken some time to adjust to Christi’s husband Rick, but she now trusts him and sleeps in between them in their bed 😂

Brownie isn’t as naughty as her sister Stuffing is, but we really need to send both of these girls off to their forever homes and continue to look for a best fit.

UPDATE 1/14/2022

When Brown N Serve came to Christi’s house she loved Christi and she loved Wyatt, but Christi’s husband Rick was a very scary man to her. With time, and patience she’s figured out that he’s not such a scary man, and he’s pretty good at some scratching…

UPDATE 1/6/2022

Brown N Serve is such a sweet and sensitive girl. She is still just a pup and will celebrate her 1st birthday on Feb 1st.
Since she arrived, she has done great with potty training, she will come to you when called and sits at your feet. She does zoomies when outside and I am amazed at how muscular her body is!
At night, she knows the routine, we put Bubba the Pug to bed, he gets a treat, we come to the bedroom and when she lays down on the dog bed, she gets a treat too. She sleeps all night on the dog bed in our room and no accidents in the house.
She gets along wonderfully with Bubba and Mademoiselle. No issues at all. She loves toys, balls, playing fetch and going on walks. Brownie has had some crate anxiety and Christi said she does not crate her at all in the house. Someone is always home though. If we do go outside to play basketball in the driveway she has not done anything naughty. I think she runs around looking for me but has never done anything bad.
Brown N serve does not like loud noises like fireworks and she was not a fan of going in a kennel. She is still afraid of Rick, but has gotten a little better and I think that with time and patience she will come around.

For now, I am her person, she seeks me out, hangs in my office for work and we take breaks outside. She also loves Wyatt and her tail wags when she sees him coming to her!

UPDATE 12/29/2021

Christi is fostering Brown N Serve, who they just call Brownie. Turns out Brownie very much needed a foster. She is learning how to be a pet. She’s afraid of Christi’s husband and will need to adjust to that. She has been a Houdini in a crate and gets out of everything. So with that right now Christi takes Brownie with her when she has to head out. Christi had to wait in line for several hours for covid testing and Brownie was a trooper waiting too.

UPDATE 12/26/2021

A little update on Brown N Serve in her foster home:
Brown N Serve checking in! My family for now calls me Brownie cause it’s easier they said. I like it! I come when they call me or they snap their fingers. I am a sensitive girl. I don’t like loud noises and jumped a mile in the air when I saw a squirrel on the fence 😜
I’m a good eater and am trying to figure out the potty training. Poos and pees go outside!
Bubba, the small alien that lives here is nice to me and I like to follow him around the yard and we sniff on things, chew on grass and he pees on stuff. Poos and pees outside…I think I’m getting it now!
The lady that lives here is my favorite followed by the boy they call Wyatt and my least favorite is the man named Rick. He pets me everyday but if he moves to fast, I RUN! If I’m asleep and see him when I wake, I RUN! I think he is nice but I’m still just not too sure. Mom for now says it will take a little time but everything is gonna be OK.
I sleep all night on a bed on the floor right next to mom for now. That way, if I wake up, I see her, and I know I am safe and I can go back to sleep.
Off I go, I got a new bone in a stocking from someone named Santa to go chew on!
