Adoption Date: July 10, 2026

Latest Update:

Lauren Bergey and Lynn Quinn really are the Thelma & Louise of dog adoptions — minus the cliff and plus a whole lot of happy endings. Their first Texas adventure was all about bringing Celine Dion (now Noodles) home to Lynn, who had previously adopted Giada from the chef group.
Not long after, Lynn joined Lauren on another rescue road trip to pick up Nova — now the ever‑iconic Poppy Nova, whose dramatic updates on the Happy Tails page have made her something of a celebrity.
Recently, Ramsay, their beloved pup from the same chef group, passed away. With hearts open and a home ready, they reached out to DRR again… and Bubba’s story began.
This time, Bubba was chauffeured straight into the sunset to meet his new dad, Roderick Coward, along with his new siblings — Poppy Nova (who will undoubtedly file several formal complaints about her new brother) and Groot, who will simply wag his little stub and welcome him aboard. And it sounds like Bubba will keep his name, especially since his new mom arrived prepared with a Bubba‑branded harness.
There’s no doubt this whole crew will be lighting up the Happy Tails page soon.
Happy life, Bubba. Your adventure is just beginning.
About Bubba:
We were asked if we could help with this boy from a shelter that is quite a ways from us, they need help with exposure and a good solid rescue to make sure he gets a great home.

This is what was sent to us:

I was given your contact information from JoAnn and Judith with the pug rescue. We are located in Snyder, TX and help our local city shelter and the one in Sweetwater. The Sweetwater shelter had a frenchie named Bubba that the owner never reclaimed after 30-45 days. They didn’t want to adopt to the public because we all know adopters of a frenchie need to be well educated on health/heat etc for them to thrive.

After looking at your adoption process and fee and being referred to you I am
Hoping you might consider taking Bubba into your rescue so he’s able to find an appropriate and well educated home.

He’s 1-3 years old, 22 lbs, good with kids, cats and dogs.
