As soon as Sada McGee saw the post on Buc-ee’s, she immediately sent in her application. She and her husband Ryan had been thinking about adding another dog to their crew — one they could not only love and care for, but also watch grow and be part of their lives for years to come.

Sada and Ryan adopted Krusty Krab (now Cletus, approx 6 years old) in June 2024, and he has brought so much joy into their lives. They thought Cletus and his sister Mavis (7 years old) would benefit from having a youngster around to keep things lively.

The McGees have a strong support system of family and neighbors, a great fenced-in backyard, and plenty of areas for long walks to help work off that puppy energy — all of which they’ll need! Sada works from home and will have the time to devote to Buc-ee’s as he grows.

I was so happy to see their application come in for Buc-ee’s. They’ve kept me updated on Cletus, and they’ve done wonders with him — he looks fantastic, and it’s clear how much love they share. I know they’ll be wonderful parents to this little guy.

By the way, Buc-ee’s new name will be Augustus — Gus for short.

Can’t wait to watch this little man grow up!
