What’s better than a young dog joining a family with kids in the home…truly nothing. Today was By Gum’s big day—she left the sanctuary and headed straight into her brand‑new life.

In a moment straight out of The Little Princess, she’s off to Southlake, TX, to join the Vu family. Weekends will be spent at their Possum Kingdom lake house, and daily life will include three kids (ages 12, 14, and 16), another dog to snuggle, and—much to her disappointment—a fish and a guinea pig she’ll have to admire from afar.

Her new name is still up for debate, and with five voices in the mix, you can imagine how lively that conversation is.

By Gum is stepping into a wonderful life, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
