Latest Update:
Our little fluffy girl, Caroline, was finally healthy and ready to be adopted. Foster mom Tina tearfully said goodbye to this sweet girl who has been through some very scary times while recovering from her heart worm treatment.
She started out as a stray with matting so severe that she couldn’t walk and had sores on her legs but that’s all so very far behind her now. Jann Gartman from New Braunfels, TX has waited for quite sometime for her little girl to be ready to go and that time has come. They have given her a new name to go with her new life – Maggie.
We wish her a very happy life with her new family!
We were asked if we could help with this little girl found as a stray down near Houston. She was in very rough shape, limping on two legs and horrifically matted. Foster mom Mary traveled to pick her up and and took her to Mary’s vet where they sedated her to shave her matted hair. Once it was removed, this tiny girl was able to walk again but suffered from lacerations due to the matting hair cutting through her skin.
She is a precious, good girl, a Maltese-mix, who loves to eat but is unfortunately heart worm positive. She will stay with foster mom, Tina, until she is through her treatment. We’re happy she’s on the road to a healthy recovery.
Welcome to the Rescue, Caroline!
