We received an overwhelming number of applications for the King Charles Cavaliers, making the decision on their new homes both exciting and very difficult. We know this update may disappoint some applicants, and we’re truly sorry we couldn’t place a cavalier with everyone who applied. Please know how much we value your interest and support.

This past weekend, the first to head off to her forever family was Chanel. She is now living with the Imken family in Fort Worth, TX—a household filled with love and care. Her new mom is a veterinarian, and she’ll also have a dad, two human sisters, a cat, and another dog to keep her company. The Imkens lost their beloved cavalier about two years ago and had been casually considering another when they came across a post about the incoming cavaliers. Though they weren’t previously following LSDR & DRR, they shared that they are now proud supporters!

While Chanel doesn’t yet have her new name, the family will be working on that together in the coming weeks.

Little baby and her terrified eyes. this little girl was born on 7/7/2025 and is only 5 months old. She is fortunate to have dodged the years of living a mill and we are happy we have been able to facilitate that.
