Christina Carcia

Sometimes two is better than one 😉. Christina Carcia the Cavalier came to us from the auction about a month ago, and has fit in beautifully at the sanctuary. She is friendly and sweet, and you could always find her in a lap or laying with the other cavaliers outside. She had a meet and greet last week with John and June Carter, and it was instant love. The Carters have never had a cavalier before, and thought the sweet natured breed could be a great fit for their home, and existing two cats. They returned today to adopt Christina, and she was pretty shy initially… as getting adopted can be scary sometimes.

As we started discussing Christina’s path forward to joining their family, a question about our very own River Scott came up in conversation. “Does she have a home?” Why no, no she does not. After about 30 seconds of thinking about it, River came into the lobby to meet the Carters, which instantly brought Christina out of her shell. These two have spent all of their time together since the moment we picked up the auction group. They have eaten together, slept together, and ridden to the vet together multiple times, becoming quite good buddies over the last few weeks. River then realized what was going on, and did zoomies around the lobby after meeting her new family!

Christina’s new name is Violet, and River’s name will be Trixie. We are so very happy that these two girls will get to stay together as they become cherished pets for the first time in their lives. We of course have to thank the Carters for opening their hearts and home to both girls, and hope to see their faces on Happy Tails soon.
