The second little slice of cheese went off to his new life in Chicago, foster mom Cate has shared his story with all of us:
Colby/Cole was adopted today to a wonderful family in the Chicago suburbs. A beautiful fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood with opportunities for walking ‘adventures’ all over. Not one, but two Frenchie sisters to help tame down all his puppy energy and help him adjust to being part of a new family. A Mom, Dad and a 12 year-old-human sister (who was instrumental in their home visit video).
While talking to Mom Kelly during the adoption, conversation turned to life in general – family, moving, schools, kiddos… In a time when people complain more often than they count their blessings, she said she feels a bit mystified making conversation sometimes because she has not one thing to complain about with her family or their life. They are happy. And that is exactly the type of family Cole needed – one that would include him, teach him and love all the weirdness this guy brings to the table. A family where all their ‘happy’ will blend with his. A million thanks to the Roberts-Arno clan for hitting the ‘send’ button on the application.
To Cole – I hope you have a life as wonderful and unique as you are big guy!
This little wolfman face is just to die for, and he was last on the table as the auction ended. I was so happy to get him. His little underbite just crushed me. He is a brindled Frenchie pup, just nine months old. He will be fostered by Cate and Nicole, two of our wonderful volunteers in Chicago.
We are happy to have you with DRR, Colby!
