Latest Update:

We sent Curry off to her new forever life after being abandoned at the shelter over Christmas by her previous family.

She has been adopted by Beth Leatherman and her family from Prosper, TX. From the moment we contacted Beth about Curry and her special needs she and her family were on-board to bring Curry home and help her through whatever the future may hold. As a senior dog with a torn ACL she may need surgery that Dog Ranch Rescue will pay for. The surgeons want to wait a couple of months for some other medical issues to be resolved and in the meantime the Leatherman family will take her home and give her a wonderful life including a black Labrador named Sunday to play with, she will also have four children to love her for the rest of her days. Beth is thinking they might call her Lucy but we will see on the happy tails page.

For now we say goodby to this very sweet girl and wish them all the best…❤️

About Curry:

Dropped at the shelter the day after Christmas with a torn ACL saying they didn’t want her anymore.

She’s 7 years old, spayed, not emaciated, rotten teeth and the shelter feels she has a torn ACL or partially torn.

Her after Christmas gift on the 26th of December was to be taken to the shelter stating they are” unable to care” and “moving”
The shelter contacted us to see if we could help, we immediately asked our volunteers if anyone could go and pick her up in Grand Prairie, TX and off went Kim Foster to bring this girl out of the shelter and into the sanctuary. She is completely stressed out and terrified of what has happened to her. Wes went over to the sanctuary to assess her with other dogs and he was furious that this sweet gem of a girl would just be discarded this way the day after Christmas. He said she is just very sweet and so afraid, she looks at each person at the sanctuary as if they could help her get back to her home that she had and is now gone. She is very low with other dogs, very respectful of their space and just wants to be okay.

She will head off to see Dr, Reno first thing Monday morning and I assure you we will make sure she will be okay forever this time…
