Latest Update:

We are thrilled to share that Dune, now known as Betty, has found her forever home with Len and Libby Karaban of Round Rock, TX! Len and Libby have adopted from us several times before, so we were overjoyed when they reached out about Dune. When Libby first emailed, she said, “We MAY be interested in adding her to the family if possible.” But after learning more about Dune, it quickly turned into, “We want her!”
Dune, a sweet Frenchton, was adored by our staff, so we couldn’t be happier that she’s going to such a loving home. The update Libby sent after Betty’s first day was both heartwarming and hilarious:
“Meet & Greet with the other kiddos (Frankie, Otto (formerly Cherub), and Rosie (formerly Lambie)) went AMAZING!!! She’s pottied, pooped, run around the house smelling everything, and thrown several stuffies in the air since she got here. Resting now after a big day!!!”
In rescue, we often talk about the “3-day/3-week/3-month” rule—where the first few days in a new home can sometimes be overwhelming, and dogs can be unsure or even shut down. But it seems Betty is an overachiever, settling in like a pro right from the start!
Here’s to the best life ever for you, big girl
