Latest Update:

The Davison family reached out hoping to adopt a Frenchie after losing their beloved Winston in October. They weren’t set on a specific dog, so we arranged for them to meet Coty and Estee Lauder. With a true “village” approach, mom, daughter, and best friend all came along for the meet and greet.
Coty was the shy, reserved girl, while Estee was more outgoing and engaging. The family struggled to choose between them—the girls were so different, yet one thing kept standing out: at the Sanctuary, they were often found together. After some thoughtful discussion, the group came to a wonderful decision… they would adopt both.
They still needed to complete their vetting process, which wasn’t finalized until this week, making the wait through the holidays feel especially long. But at last, the big day arrived. Kimber, her daughter, and her sister came to pick up the girls, and we couldn’t be happier for all of them. These two will be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives—lives that will look very different from how they began.
Coty will now be known as Elizabeth, the quieter soul, and Estee Lauder will go by Margaret. You might notice a theme in their new names.
Wishing you the happiest new beginning, Elizabeth and Margaret!
About Estee Lauder:
I know these scared faces are hard to look at, they have no clue what is happening, and the vast majority have never been out of their cages in the mill, certainly not to this shocking situation of being dragged to a building filled with people, yelling and shouting and an auctioneer rolling with the microphone. It’s a lot, it’s a lot on the dogs and for the humans.
