A lovely adoption for a pretty sweet girl who had her owners move away and leave her abandoned inside of the apartment. Who could do such a thing? that is a question we ask ourselves every damn day it seems. Thankfully Evermore has now found herself a new life with Jonathan and Nikki Cooper of Fate, TX — previous adopters of Prince from our early rescue days — visited the Sanctuary over the July 4th weekend, bringing their dogs along to meet Goose. Goose and Prince didn’t quite click in that very particular Frenchie way, so we introduced a few other pups to see who might be a better match. Evermore quickly stood out as the one who fit them best. She’s a sweet girl with lively bursts of energy, and it was clear she’d blend beautifully into their home.

She did, however, need some time for her skin to heal before we could safely complete her spay and dental, so everyone settled in for a bit of a waiting game. With plenty of patience, today finally became the day — and she was exactly as they remembered, just with much softer fur than before.

The Coopers will be keeping her name with a little twist: she will now be called Evie.

About Evermore:

Evermore is very happy to be here after being abandoned in her empty house when her owners moved away and left her in there. We are guessing she’s 5 or 6 years old but we have no paperwork on her to see. She came to us incredibly itchy and it was easy to see that she was covered in fleas. She’s now been all cleaned up and clear from those, she’s seen the doctor and is getting relief now from her skin inflamed by parasites. She’s a sweet girl who is lovely with Sage who is in ISO together with her.
