Latest Update:

Ewok really won the golden ticket with new mom, Amanda Goerdel.
Ewok is our scruffy Frenchie who was rescued at a school bus stop unsure of his future. Thrilled to announce this sweet soul’s future is bright & full of love. Amanda is a compassionate veterinarian with a special place in her heart for brachycephalic breeds in need. ☺️ With her expertise & devotion towards caring for animals, we know Ewok is in the best hands possible.
Amanda’s home is filled with love & plenty of paws… 5 dogs & 5 cats to keep her on her toes. Pictured above is her 4yr old Boston, “Smol Mol” (Molly), who is sure to show Ewok the ropes. Ewok’s new life is filled with adventure, play dates, & cuddles!
Amanda is still deciding on the perfect new name. However, the name “Hawk” is a top contender right now… short & sweet, very fitting for his unique self. Will be waiting on Ewoks Happy Tails update to know for sure!
Ewok hit the Jackpot with Amanda, we can’t thank you enough!

About Ewok:
I will say this has been an interesting weekend. Let me tell you the story of this little man.
He was seen as a stray for a few days by a woman who is a bus driver, and then she stopped for him and he jumped into the school bus and made himself at home happy to feel safe. She is a lovely lady who said she has picked up many dogs along her route and has always found the dogs owners but not this time. She said she took him home and placed him up on several lost and found pages but nobody has claimed him, however everyone wanted him.
He does not have a microchip but clearly he is an easy dog to identify if he has an owner. She said he was a good boy in her home but she needed help with a rescue to take him from here. He appears to be about 2 or 3 years old, not neutered but not in bad shape.
He looks like something that lives in the wild, Travis insists because it’s May 4th that we call him Ewok, I guess all the Star Wars fans will get the reference.
He is now at the sanctuary safe and sound.
