About Extra:
Our second female Pomeranian. Once again potentially pregnant, but she was bred with a Shih Tzu so I’m not sure what that mix is supposed to be, but once again its the nonsense of mixed breed dogs that the public continues to support and purchase. She was born 7/16/15 and we will just have to find out if she is bred or not. Hopefully she isn’t because maternity manor could be very crowded soon…

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Extra
UPDATE 3/24/2021
Extra’s ultrasound shows that she has 4 to 5 pups in there and she was bred with a ShihTzu, so these will be little mixed breed pups. She will stay with Alyssa working on socialization while we wait for her term to get a little closer and then she will move over to stay with Jenn.
UPDATE 3/14/2021
A little update from foster mom Alyssa taking care of Extra in her home:
Your daily dose of Extra
Look who is getting braver! Poor thing wants affection so badly so she keeps inching closer and closer then runs back to her safe spot by the fireplace. If I’m petting our dog, she will actually slink over and let me pet her at the same time. She loves meal times and starts dancing when I’m getting her food ready. She’s much less enthusiastic about her ear flushes. I’m almost scared to put this in writing for fear of jinxing, but she has only had 1 tiny accident! We’ve been taking her out to potty on repeat, but not going to lie, this has been a pleasant surprise! She does the funniest little stretch after she potties now.

P.S. we saw her do this stretch on intake day and chuckled. Clearly she’s got herself a little bit of style!
UPDATE 3/11/2021
Extra is a chocolate Pom who may be bred to a ShihTzu, ultrasound will be coming soon. She is the shyest of all of the new rescues and we will be sending her to a foster home tomorrow to help her learn how to be social as opposed to a dog living in a puppy mill where nobody cares how she behaves as a pet.
