Latest Update:

Have you heard the phrase “they find you”? Well you might say Freddy found me.
I watch the new rescues coming in just like you do.. anxious to see each one. Which one will I end up fostering, which one needs me .. which one pulls at my heart. I always have a list. When I lost my Jaz 9/23 (my heart and best friend for over 15 yrs) and then Margaux (DRR SoHo) in 5/24 after almost 6 yrs (my first frenchy who I loved dearly) I was lost. The emptiness weighed heavy on me. I knew I wanted and needed another dog. Plus Abby (DRR Abby 911 group ) is getting older and Pill Bug needed a frenchy friend to grow up with. The dog would need to fit in with my others and the way our home runs with fosters coming and going.
Rene and Laura came to pick up Buckwheat one day and brought Freddy Freeman for me to foster.. Freddy was never on any of my list… I don’t know why.. I had just passed right over him. Well let me tell you he came in here like he had always lived here. The first time he looked up at me with those eyes and shiny little lip and took his treat I started sinking. Both Jaz and Margaux would have me on the floor every night tucking them in and whispering to them about any and everything from the day. Freddy sits up in his crate at night (he’ll be out of it soon) and waits for me to get on the floor and stick my head in to tuck him in. I lay my head on him and whisper what a good boy he is and how much I love him, cover him up and off to sleep he goes.
He follows me when ever he can. He’ll sit on my feet if I stop. He’s always close by and he makes me laugh. He doesn’t like the cold but never has an accident … if he doesn’t need to go he’ll stick his nose out then say “no way” with a Michael Jackson backward walk then turn and go back to his bed.
He still has medical issues that need to be dealt with that will be ongoing but he is a happy boy.
Even though I had passed him by he still found me. I love this little shiny lip squish face boy. He’s here to stay. Btw his name will stay Freddy.

About Freddy Freeman:
11/16/24 UPDATE:
Sadly Freddie Freeman has his purse strings removed yesterday and this morning he prolapsed. He was rushed into surgery right away. A huge thank you to Millie for being quick on his care and an enormous thank you to Dr Spencer coming in early this morning to take him to surgery and put it back and perform a Colopexy to hopefully fix this for good.

We’ve received a grand total of 10 dogs from this breeder in the past. Kotter, Miyagi, Frizzle, Logan, Kendall, Greg, Siobhan, Gerri, Tom and Roman. All of them the same issues, all of them loaded with parasites, many of them with rectal prolapses.
Yesterday Ricky drove and picked up 4 new ones, I’m sure you can just imagine how many puppies she’s making and selling for her to just hand over 14 dogs that she hasn’t a care in the world about.
This is the only boy in the group, Emma took him straight to the ER last night with him trying to have a rectal prolapse.
Let me introduce him to you and welcome him to Dog Ranch Rescue Freddy Freeman
