Gallant

When Heather Hovland first applied, her heart was set on Claudine. While Claudine is a wonderful girl, we knew the fit wasn’t quite right for the Hovland home. Thankfully, Heather and her family trusted DRR to guide them toward a dog who would truly thrive with them — and that dog was Gallant.

Josh, Heather, and their son Jackson were so eager for their 1:30 appointment that we got a text saying they were already on the road and would be arriving 45 minutes early. That kind of enthusiasm tells us everything about how ready they were to welcome their new boy.

They’re still choosing his new name, with Thor and Ace currently in the lead. Gallant will also have a Frenchie sister, Stella, and the family has already sent videos of the two of them juking around each other, trying to figure out the perfect way to play. It’s clear this is going to be a wonderful match for a very good boy.
