Latest Update:
She may be deaf but she just landed a jackpot home..
Her new mama doesn’t like her picture taken so I will just show you pics of Gander with her pickle teeth.
Gayla Crain contacted us and wanted to kick all of our butts with a 5 bear home..she asked about Bruce and we said no, he isn’t a good fit and he already has a family. Bruce is a active young wild guy not a fit at Gayla’s house but we said you know who would be? that would be Gander, she said love it…I’m in..
and the rest is history, Gander has left the ranch and joined Red, Ella, Jubilee, and Godzilla at there house full of red bears…
Cassandra shed a lot of tears over this girl but knew she had to let her go, Gayla came and met her and took her home yesterday. Her new name will be Kassie and she is one very lucky dog.
Happy life sweet girl…
This is Gander she was the female that was seized from her owner in Houston when he went to jail. She was found in the house with a Chihuahua and a cat covered in fleas. I’m going to guess that she is probably around 5 or 6 years old. I don’t think that she can hear, I can walk up behind her clapping loudly and don’t get any response. She tilts her head at you in an odd way like she is listening but doesn’t understand, perhaps she picks up only certain sounds. She is a sweet girl and minds her own business with other dogs, she would like a lap to sit in and hopes to find a home of her own that will give her that. She is not HW positive thankfully and just needs to recover from all of the flea bites that have left her pretty bald.
UPDATE
She is a splendid girl, we all just love her so much. She went and had her spay done this week and the little masses on her eyelid and face removed and got her toofers all cleaned and shiny. She is leaving today to go stay with Cassandra and her house of red bears.
Dr. Reno did confirm for us that Gander is in fact deaf. She seems to hear certain loud high pitched sounds but mostly she just doesn’t hear you. We certainly hope that won’t hurt her chances of getting a great home because she deserves the best of the best and she falls into that category of a wonderful first time Bordeaux for somebody.
Sweet girl Gander
