About Go Fish:
The pain of this post is just too much. Raising puppies never gets easy, never can you take for granted that they are doing great, things can change in the blink of an eye.
All of Cribbage pups were schedule for their adoption this weekend with three families eagerly awaiting their babies. Yesterday morning Jenn told us she was driving Go Fish to the vet, he was too quiet and pale and wouldn’t eat. Dr. Reno had him most of the day, she gave him fluids and had him in a heating blanket but he had dark tarry stools that could mean many things that might be problematic for him internally. This little fella only weighed one pound so she couldn’t even get a catheter in him to give him fluids and had to do it subcutaneously. In addition she gave him glucose to help perk him back up. By the end of the day he looked much better and was walking around. Jenn took him home to be with his littermates and keep a close eye on him. Jenn hand fed him and gave him Enercal every couple of hours and put him to bed in the incubator to make sure he was warm enough but this morning he was gone. Something was wrong with his little body we just don’t know what, obviously this is devastating for Jenn who cares for these babies day by day and just as painful for his family that was supposed to take their new baby home Saturday.
We send hugs and our condolences to everyone who will suffer from this loss.
Rest In Peace Go fish….

This little Maltese boy was born 12/21/2021.
