The previous adopters of DRR Sebastian, now Paco. Cynthia and Daniel Fresquez were thrilled to have her. Paco just finished boarding at the ranch and they asked if they could meet Godiva, they all hit it off immediately and they welcomed her to come home with them. We will see them both in the future when their family is out of town, they are unsure of her name but are leaning towards Kiki.
About Godiva:
UPDATE ———–3/12/2024
- Silly little Godiva came in from a local shelter near valentines day, and stole the hearts of everyone at the Sanctuary immediately. She has such a loving personality and has never met a stranger. Godiva is great with dogs of all sizes and loves to run and play with the other frenchies. She is waiting patiently for someone to snatch her up and take her home! This little lady has such a funny streak, and we know she will make her forever family laugh, daily.

I’ll close the night with this story that transpired about an hour ago. I get a text from Diane at Lone Star Bulldog rescue.
It looked like this:
“This guy called me, desperate for someone to come pick his Frenchie up because he’s being evicted, he lives in Carrollton. I tried to explain to him this was Valentines Day and he’s really not concerned with Valentines because he’s just gonna have to open the door and let the dog go if someone can’t pick her up today”.
I quickly reached out to Ricky who was at a restaurant not far away waiting to have a Valentines dinner with Terrie. He was on his way to get this girl in 15 minutes and Terrie said no worries she would go home and make a heart shaped meatloaf instead. (These two are saints)
Ricky said these two guys don’t give a crap about this dog and said she was a breeder dog and knew little to nothing about her. Poor baby is very scared but thank goodness she didn’t just get put out the door.
Yes we will scan her for a chip, yes we always wonder if someone is missing their Frenchie but no, we have never, and I mean never found an owner looking for a dog like this, or for any stray Frenchie for that matter.
She came with a name, I refuse to use it, her life begins now and I won’t allow it to be attached to her, if she even knows it.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Godiva.
This really pisses me off, and I’m sure it does you too, but her future is bright, and we will get her past this terrified face.
