Breed: French Bulldog
Current Location: Iowa
Adoption Date: June 4, 2019
Adopted by: Carly Anderson
We had an adoption for Gumby today thanks to foster mom millie who has taken great care of her since she had her surgery to remove her eye.
Carly Anderson and her daughter Dakota drove down from Iowa City to pick up our sweet one-eyed girl Gumby. Carly and wife Jackie(a canine handler with their local PD) have lots of experience with special needs dogs. Gumby will have three other dogs (special-needs) for her brother and sisters. Matter of fact her new brother Roscoe(3 legged sweet pit) came a long to keep her company on the way home. Carly works from home and will be there full time to help acclimate Gumby to her new life. I can see lots of hiking the creeks and trails near her new home in her future. They are thinking Gumby’s new name might be Petunia but haven’t decided for sure yet.
Congratulations to all and can’t wait to see your adventures on the Happy Tails page. Love ya my little one-eyed girl!
Check out the picture with Roscoe.. Gumby’s so excited to be getting in the vehicle and starting her new life..
We are still looking for applications for Gumby, she’s busy playing here with Bessie Pearl, but she does very well with playing with the male dogs here at the Ranch. she loves Mustang and wrestles with him all the time. We will not entertain a home for her with any children in the house younger than 16.
Once again applications will be judged on a case by case basis, and deciphering what other pets are in the home on a case by case basis as well.
We know very well that Gumby can get along with other dogs here at the Ranch but dynamics change once they get into a home with no boundaries, no rules and an abundance of affection so we will remain cautious at this point.
applications can be submitted online dogranchrescue.com
Gumby is a 3 year old female Frenchie, she came to us from the auction with a very infected ear that has a hematoma. We are treating it and hoping that it doest scar too badly. She’s a spunky girl full of energy and can be a little bossy with other dogs but she’s doing just fine with minor corrections.
