Adopted!
New Name:
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Weight:
Current Location:
Adoption Date:
Adopted by: Steven and Tara Barnes
Latest Update:

Harlow’s early life was clearly a difficult one. Her ears had been cropped, she was covered in wounds, tested positive for heartworm, and had a severely swollen leg. Despite these challenges—and knowing she might have limited hearing and a permanent limp—Steven and Tara Barnes reached out after reading about her on dogranchrescue.com. Their only concern? Whether Harlow would accept them.

Before heading out on a short vacation, they visited the Sanctuary for a meet and greet. Not long after, they texted us saying how excited they were to bring her home, adding, “She’s about to be so spoiled. She has no idea.”

Once their trip ended, Steven came back to take her home to Whitesboro, TX. Now named Mildred “Millie,” she has settled in beautifully and is already the perfect fit for her new family.

We couldn’t imagine a softer, more loving place for her to land.
Happy life, Millie!

About Harlow:
5/27/25 PUPDATE:

Meet Harlow ☺️

Harlow is a stunning white Frenchie with uniquely cropped ears that’s a part of her past she didn’t choose, but carries with grace. She may be hard of hearing, but she’s deeply in tune with love and connection.
This sweet girl is all about the simple joys: cozy naps (on her schedule), tasty treats, and gentle head scratches that make her whole body relax. And when she’s done dreaming in her den for the day? She’ll give a polite bark to let you know she’s ready to rejoin the world and your company. Harlow eats well, rests deeply, and shows her affection in soft ways. Calm, loving, and full of quiet charm, she doesn’t need to hear you to know she’s loved

_____________________________________
This poor little dog, Harlow is very sweet and calm but man she’s suffered. Dr Reno is suspicious she had been used as a bait dog. Her ears are cut nearly all the way off. Her legs are covered in bite wounds, and swollen with infection. We are a little suspicious she might have a towel in her stomach. Right now food is moving through so we are observing for the weekend. If she has any vomiting we will need to move her to the hospital. We are hoping her radiographs just didn’t look accurate. She is heartworm positive of course, and she has broken toes in that swollen foot. She’s on lots of pain meds, and antibiotics, and she is so enjoying being at the sanctuary where it’s clean and quiet where she has people to love on her.
Wherever she came from she’s escaped hell.
