Heaven

Sometimes I like to close the night with an adoption, especially for a dog that has waited and waited and waited for a family of her own. This one had all of us with a little tear in our eyes, we love Heaven so much and so hoped she would find a family that would treasure her.

If you look up the definition of Kismet in the dictionary, you will see Heaven’s adoption picture because she was meant to be adopted by Dale & Janine Bowling of Fort Worth, TX – maybe that is why she stayed with us such a long time. First, Heaven was rescued by DRR from Dallas Animal Services and Dale just happens to be a Dallas police officer and he rescued one of his mastiffs off the streets in Dallas. Next, Heaven was rescued on the same day that they lost their last beloved mastiff. They had three mastiffs that passed between May – December.

So much heartbreak.

Finally, we named her Heaven so what more proof is needed? Heaven met their new pug puppy, Elvis Pugsley, and it was a very good meeting. They were all at the Sanctuary to meet Heaven and Jedi, but when Emma brought Heaven, that was that. They haven’t decided on a name yet, but I’m sure we will hear soon.

We’re excited to hear about the adventures of Heaven and Elvis and hope their journey together brings healing to the Bowling’s hearts! Yup, Kismet!
