We knew Hiccup and Astrid wouldn’t be at the Sanctuary for long—these tiny Boston Terriers are simply irresistible. Sure enough, Hiccup was the first to find his forever home. Jodie & Larry of Allen, Texas, reached out after recently losing their beloved brown Boston Terrier. Their hearts were ready to welcome another, and when they saw Hiccup, they knew he was the one.
Since we don’t often have Bostons in rescue, the timing felt like fate. The McKevitts also have an older Labrador who will be the perfect mentor, teaching young Hiccup the ropes of the doggy door and life at home. And as if that weren’t enough support, their three college-aged kids will be coming home for the holidays to pitch in with raising Hiccup, giving him even more love and attention as he settles in.
The only hiccup, so to speak, is his new name—the family hasn’t chosen one yet, but promised to update us soon. Whatever they decide, we know this little guy is destined for a wonderful life surrounded by family, guidance, and plenty of Boston Terrier charm.
