This was a pretty special adoption today and Wes walked up to the Ranch with Marco to join them. As I told you before the Holbrooks have adopted Star Sapphire, and they then adopted Sampson the Doberman that came from the valley with Delilah, sadly Samson passed away just a few short months after his adoption from a heart attack.
They contacted us when Marco came in and the plan was for them to wait for him to be ready for adoption. Once again this didn’t work out and Marco was diagnosed with a bad liver and no hope of him getting better due to congenital abnormalities and uncertainty if he will survive a few weeks, a few months or a few years.
They were too heartbroken with Samson’s sudden loss to open themselves back up to losing Marco quickly. Wes stepped in and said Marco could live with him for however long he has and the Holbrooks turned their sights on to Janny.
Today was her big day as they flew in from Idaho and will make the long drive back home with their new girl. They gt to meet Marco and give him some love with the dog that wasn’t meant to be.
I forgot to ask them what they are doing with Janny’s name but i know they will let us know on the happy tails page.
Happy life to all of them and may their broken hearts heal with this silly sweet girl.
This mama Doberman is a very sweet girl. She approaches easily and is friendly to all. She is very stressed about trying to protect her babies and we will be moving them to a foster so she can finally relax. She has done a great job and now its time for humans to help her. She will be named Janny Kehr, who is a nurse practitioner who visits and cares for the elderly, she lost two of her precious patients to COVID, broke her heart, then she has contracted COVID herself!

She came to us from down in the valley with two little pups living as strays. Her pups have moved on, one adopted already and the other soon to be as well.
Unfortunately we need help finding a home for mama Janny, everyone wants puppies especially purebred pups but mama needs a family too.
Would you please share her? Janny is a young Doberman, she is good with all dogs and needs a place of her own and we need your help to find that.
