Jillian

Sometimes the right home just takes a little longer to come along, and Jillian was one of those dogs we knew we couldn’t rush. It wasn’t that she lacked interest — she had plenty of applications — but none were quite the right fit. Many of the families had cats, and after a cat test, it was clear Jillian had very strong feelings about them… and not the friendly kind! Thankfully, she adores other dogs, which turned out to be exactly what she needed.

When we see an adopter willing to come all the way from New Hampshire, we know they’re committed. Mike and Melanie Hitchcock were so excited about Jillian that they not only submitted their application but followed up with an email saying they were ready to make the trip to pick her up.

Jillian will be keeping her name and joining three new dog siblings — Princess, Stella Rae, and Rusty. We’re absolutely thrilled for her and so grateful that her new chapter is beginning with a family who already loves her so much.
