Latest Update:

‘m going to close the night for the next couple of nights with special adoptions, they are always heartwarming but this time of year especially so here we go with today’s.
What an amazing rescue she has been, to imagine some person taking this little wonderful girl so sick from a bone lodged in her stomach and bleeding, emaciated and dying and put her in a crate and leave her under and underpass is just too much. Thankfully she has made a full recovery and yesterday Millie sent her on her way to her forever life far away from that nightmare.
Ju Ju Be’s adoption 🩷
Jennifer and Mike Ausili came to adopt JuJuBe and take her to her new home in Melissa, Texas. Both their son Curtis and daughter Faith were home for the holidays and were able to join them for the adoption.
Jennifer was immediately drawn to JuJuBe the minute she saw her picture and knew she would be the perfect addition to their family. Today also happens to be Jennifer’s birthday and what a perfect birthday gift this sweet little girl is.
Mike and Jennifer both work from home and will make sure JuJuBe gets lots of attention, walks and playtime. Speaking of playtime … they previously adopted DRR Brandi Dorsey now Peanut (5yrs old) who will make a great playmate along with Faith’s 11 month old frenchy who visits often.
They haven’t decided on her name yet. They might keep the one she has but will let us know on the Happy Tails page.
JuJuBe is truly a miracle to have survived such cruel treatment, to near death and come out the other side as a sweet, loving, happy girl. I think we’ll all be watching JuJu as her new life unfolds. Love ya little one!

About JuJuBe:
11/18/24 AM UPDATE:
I got a call at 2:00 in the morning. It’s never good to have them call in the night, she told me that X-rays show she has some kind of foreign body approx 5cm.
We discussed our options and she said right now she’s not stable enough for surgery so she wanted my permission if necessary for anything she might need to get her stable.
She said she’s suspicious that she may have another issue like protein insufficiency that has led to her poor body condition and muscle wasting. She wondered if this might be the reason some person gave up on her and pushed her out the door. Hungry and alone she was scraping for things to eat and perhaps trash has caused this issue. We talked about the bleeding with vomit and diarrhea and she worried that the foreign body might be sharp.
I haven’t got an updated call this morning yet but the hope is to get her stable enough to put her under, and send down a scope to take a look in there. Is it possible to grab it that way? and if not of course open her up and remove it that way. Obviously this is a worrisome thing for this sick girl to go through and of course we don’t know what the outcome will be, all we can do is tackle it as it comes and hope for the best.

11/17/24 UPDATE:
JuJuBe has been admitted into the hospital. I just spoke with Dr Yeager, she said her body condition is very, very poor. She weighs 10 pounds she should weigh double that. She’s incredibly dehydrated so fluids have begun. Meds for vomiting and diarrhea have started. They want to be very careful with attempting to feed her for fear of refeeding syndrome.
I told them I will keep my phone on all night for anything they need for Mookie or JuJuBe that they will be able to reach me.
This little girl is lucky to have been picked up as a stray and thankfully Ginger at the Ft. Worth shelter reached out to us immediately, Ricky was in his truck in an instant and within a couple of hours she is getting the much needed medical care very quickly.
I will of course update you when I know anymore.
_______________________________________________________________________The hits are coming fast and furious and sorry guys but we have to get some help today. This little 10 pound girl was in the shelter in Ft. Worth they just contacted us asking if we could please help. She’s sick with very bloody diarrhea and is vomiting blood as well, she needs the ER now. We are just bombarded with medical bills and cannot keep up, and we have to please ask for donations.
It breaks my heart to see so many dogs in need and Frenchies are no different than any of them, and the demand and the need is constant.
Ricky is gone to get her and she will be going straight to the ER, we shall call her JuJuBe
