Now it’s Jumanji’s turn! While the other Brussels Griffons have found their forever homes, Jumanji’s adoption was delayed because she went into heat. Stormy Parr, with her husband in agreement, applied to adopt her as soon as she saw the Brussels Griffons arrive from the auction. Stormy had recently lost her beloved Brussels, who passed away at 15 years old. Once Stormy was approved as an adopter, she came to the Sanctuary to meet Jumanji.

When a dog isn’t quite ready for adoption and an adopter has been selected, it’s a perfect chance to meet the other dogs in the home to ensure a good fit. Fortunately, Stormy has plenty of experience rescuing dogs from difficult situations, and she’s patient enough to give Jumanji the time she needs to settle in and open up at her own pace—no rush. To help Jumanji adjust to her new life, the Parrs also have a Chihuahua and a Chiweenie to show her just how wonderful life can be.

Jumanji will now go by the name Delilah, and we’re sure her former Brussels Griffon companions would love to see updates from her in Happy Tails!
