About Lark:

She came on our radar and of course she tugged at our hearts. Laura decided that she cannot leave this girl without us helping so we sent in the tag and contacted Dr. D and put out a call for transport. The Dallas animal service’s report said she had possible pyometra but she does not, in fact she has been spayed. And who knows how long she has roamed the streets here?

She is old, mostly blind but can see some, completely deaf, and the few teeth she has are rotten. She’s extremely anemic due to the fleas and ticks she had all over her and her blood work shows her kidneys not functioning well. Dr D wants to give her a couple of weeks of good food and love and then run her blood work again and see if it improves after she has time to rest and heal.

We cleaned her up and Julie took her and loved on her in her bed. This poor old dog has got to be in her teens and has had a very, very bad life.

We hope our senior lovers will have their eye on this old girl to give her a nice home for the short time she most likely has on this earth.

We will find a wonderful forever home for you, Lark.
