Latest Update:

Heidi and Ashley Hawks drove away from Oklahoma City with Lennox (now affectionately called Lenny Boy) to his new home in North Carolina. Heidi is a pilot so flying into OKC was no problem, but even a pilot couldn’t sneak in a 32 lb Frenchie on board so they got a rental car for the long journey. He slept most of the way in the car and snuggled between them in bed at night!
They absolutely fell in love with Lennox at first sight and wasted no time applying. They have a cat but they were assured Lennox was fine with cats and ignored them.
You will see Lenny Boy on the Happy Tails page!! He settled in right away with new toys, leashes, treats and daily walks. What a gem!
Another great adoption brought to you by Dog Ranch.
About Lennox:
10/13/25 Update from foster mom Trish: LENNOX may be one of the strongest Frenchies I’ve ever had but I’m older now!! Such a handsome boy he is fine with cats, kids if they are big enough to not be knocked down, and other dogs. Would chase squirrels if he could and you might never get him back—runs like the wind. He came in as a 1 year old unaltered male with an unregistered chip found as a stray and is probably used to the open road before ending up in a kill shelter.
Shelter held him longer than required hoping someone would come for him but, but no one did until Dog Ranch came to the rescue. Not used being in a home and he can be like a bull in a china shop, but he learns quickly and soaks up love!
He looks tough but is a true cuddle bug at bed or nap time.
_________________________
We have been so inundated with discarded French Bulldogs that when these 3 ended up in a shelter here we simply had no place for them to go. Dr. Roach in Oklahoma raised his hand to help and said get them to me and I will isolate them in his veterinary hospital until they are well enough to send to foster and or the sanctuary.
They were all sick, Quincy the cream was so very sick with pneumonia and emaciation. Lennox and Sutton also fell ill to upper respiratory from being in the shelter. It is getting harder and harder to keep up, Frenchies are just falling from the sky, they are discarded daily it seems, and at some point will just be like any other breed in the shelter with no rescue having the capability to step up and they will climb into the high risk of being euthanized because of it.
This is Lennox, Sutton and Quincy. They aren’t even on the website yet because it’s just been that hard to keep up. Quincey has also come up with a sialocoele under his neckband will now need a surgeon to come in and take care of that.
It never ends…
