Michelle and Larry Molenburg were looking to add to their pack and, more importantly, give a loving forever home to a dog in need. ❤️

Currently, their pack consists of Zeke, an 8-year-old male Boxer/Pit mix; Callie, a 6-year-old female Lab; and Beaudacious, their 3-year-old male Frenchie.

I absolutely LOVED the descriptions Michelle and Larry gave me of each of their dogs—and the many names they have accumulated over the years. 😂 Especially for Beaudacious, also known as BoBo… and, my personal favorite, Mr. Big Ears Don’t Listen! 😂

Michelle and Larry wanted to make sure they found the right fit for their pack, especially when it came to BoBo. They had actually met another dog, but it just wasn’t the right match.

Then Michelle came over with BoBo to meet London.

And you could immediately tell.

She was the one.

Those two were running and playing together like they had been old friends forever. It was one of those meetings where you just stand back and think, “Yep… this is it.” ❤️

Michelle and Larry live in Haslet, both work from home, have a large fenced-in yard, and their veterinarian gave them an outstanding reference. Everything just seemed to click into place for London.

Her new name will be Clarabelle because her coloring reminds them of a little cow. Clara for short but they’re also calling her Belly/Belly Bean.

I’m really looking forward to watching this little girl’s Happy Tails adventures. I have a feeling she’s going to be quite the entertainer—and with BoBo as her new sidekick, I’m pretty sure we’re going to have some stories! 😂

UPDATE

Miss London has an update!

London just wanted everyone to know that she’s recovering nicely from her purse string removal, spay and dental. She’s doing great—and according to London, the absolute worst part of the whole experience was being told NO BREAKFAST!

Just kidding…well, sort of.

Dr. Spencer even let her keep her security bone with her in her crate so she would feel a little more comfortable. London isn’t a big fan of being closed in a crate, so having her trusty bone nearby helped her feel a little more secure.

She was a little druggy and loopy when she first got home, but she’s feeling much better now and is doing great!

The best news? Her vetting is now complete, with the exception of her Flu booster, and this sweet girl is officially ready to start looking for her forever home!

“Miss London checking in…

Miss London arrived last night after having purse string for a rectal prolapse. At least I told her she had surgery… she seems to think I must be mistaken because she feels great!

She was very excited when she arrived and had a hard time settling in at first. London is one of those dogs who expresses her excitement with lots of bouncing, twisting, spinning, and testing just how high she can jump. Since jumping is definitely not on her approved activity list right now, I handed her a Nylabone, and thankfully it did the trick. She went all out for it! She absolutely loves chewing on it!

London is a beautiful little Frenchie, around 5 years old and approximately 25 pounds. Right now, she just needs to learn that it’s okay to relax. I think that will come with time as she realizes she’s safe. After being found as a stray, never knowing where her next meal would come from, and trying to survive in this Texas heat, I’m sure life has been frightening.

So far, she’s eaten a good meal, taken all of her medicine, and peed. Luckily for me, she apparently saved all of her explosive poops for Ricky! I am looking forward to seeing her have a normal bowel movement so we can be sure everything is working well after surgery.

Over the next few weeks, London will finish the rest of her vetting and be spayed. Until then, I’m focusing on keeping her calm, comfortable, and recovering from her surgery while making sure there is not another prolapse.

I have a feeling this sweet, happy girl is going to steal a lot of hearts.

Don’t think that because we are thousands of miles away in England that we aren’t still going to rescue dogs. This girl needs some help and found herself in the shelter that reached out to us. A rectal prolapse you guys know how often we see this. Ricky went and picked her up this morning and drove her to Dr Spencer’s where he will get to work on getting it back inside her body where it belongs. Once he’s finished working on her Millie has raised her hand to take her in to foster her until she’s well and can be adopted.
