Sherri and Gilbert Ancira have been supporters of ours since very early in our rescue journey. In 2015, Sherri adopted sweet Cedar from our plants and trees group, then little Mello a year or so later. They had their own facebook page and were frequent faces on the happy tails page. Mello crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022 due to bone cancer, followed by sweet Cedar a year later. They were wonderful dogs, both mill survivors, both loved dearly. After nine months of grieving their great loss Sherri decided she was ready to love again, her sights set on Cruz and Linda. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect home for these two. Linda and Cruz love each other, they’re constantly playing and running at the sanctuary. They love people and affection and they’re ready for their forever home. When I released them into the lobby to meet their new family, they were all over Sherri and Gilbert immediately, it was love at first sight. We can’t express enough how heart warming it is to see these dogs go home to people who care so dearly about rescue dogs. Linda’s new name will be Riley, Cruz will be Matilda/ Mattie. They are definitely in the best hands imaginable and we can’t wait to see them living their new life on the happy tails page. We’d like to give a big thank you to Sherrie and Gilbert for their support over the years, and happy wishes for their new additions, they’re in for a long life of love and care.
