Latest Update:

It was a busy and heartwarming day at the Sanctuary with three adoptions and one meet & greet on the schedule. Bryan Messman and Tami Morgan of The Colony, TX, were the final adoption of the day—and what a finale it was!
Back in September, Bryan and Tami visited the Sanctuary and met several dogs: Maine Coon, Fun Dip, Mango, and Mokey Fraggle (who, by the way, is still available!). After spending time with each pup, they chose Maine Coon as the one they wanted to rescue. However, she wasn’t quite ready for adoption and was listed as “available soon,” so she was marked as pending—and the wait began.
What we didn’t know at the time was that Bryan and Tami also had their eye on another dog. Eager and excited, they arrived early for their adoption appointment, only to find that a meet & greet was still underway. (That family said yes, by the way, and will wait for their chosen dog to finish medical care!)
While waiting in their car, Bryan and Tami shyly asked if Fun Dip was still available. The answer? Yes, she was! And just like that, their family grew by two. Maine Coon, now named Evie, went home alongside Fun Dip—who keeps her adorable name because, well, it’s just too cute to change.
We’re told both girls starting to settle in and they have done very well in the first 24 hours, and we can’t wait to see their Happy Tails update soon.
So, if you’re keeping score: Adoptions = 4, Pending = 1. It was a very good day indeed
About Maine Coon:
Maine Coon’s Bio:
Maine Coon is a mellow Frenchie with the sweetest, calm spirit. She loves basking in the sunshine and enjoys cozy naps just as much as the little tail wiggles she gives when she’s happy. Though she can be a bit shy around sudden movements, she’ll quietly curl up close to you and gaze up with those loving eyes—it’s her gentle way of asking for affection. Maine Coon is perfectly content to relax in her cozy spot when it’s time to rest. She’s food-motivated and overall a wonderfully easygoing girl who brings calm and comfort wherever she goes
