Sweet, young Meadow had to be carried into her meet & greet, and once she was in the lobby, she didn’t move a muscle. We never know how a dog will react when they first walk into the lobby to meet a family, and we’re always grateful for adopters who can look past that initial fear. The Zubrod family is one of those special families.

Rochelle and her son, Austin, came to meet her, and after a few minutes we gently placed Meadow in Rochelle’s lap. That’s when she finally softened—melting into the pets she was offered, even though she was still clearly terrified. It’s hard to imagine being only seven months old and having your entire world turned upside down. Her puppy mill life was awful, but it was all she had ever known. Suddenly she was in a big room, surrounded by new people, unsure of what would happen if she moved. Who knows what must have been running through her mind.

But off she went to her new home. Thankfully, the Zubrod household in Spring, Texas, also includes Copper Bear, a three‑year‑old Staffordshire Terrier/Pit mix who loves everyone and everything. He has confidence to spare, and he’ll be a wonderful guide to help Meadow come out of her shell and feel safe in her new world.

They’re still deciding on her new name—there are quite a few contenders—but whatever they choose, we know she will learn to thrive in her big, beautiful life ahead.

She’s only 7 months old and yes that is an aged out pup. The public doesnt want to buy that puppy in the window anymore because it’s not little and isn’t a good impulse buy. She was born on 8/7/25
