What can I say? I have fostered 100s of mamas and puppies over the last 8 years for Dog Ranch Rescue and this will be my 3rd foster fail. About 5 years ago, I kept a chocolate beagle named Curious George. I named him Chocolate Chip after my favorite cookie. Fast forward a couple years and I kept a Yorkie puppy named Old Maid. I named her Raisin to continue the cookie theme. Next I added a pocket beagle named Blueberry (for her lilac color) and a dapple dachshund named Hazelnut (not DRR dogs). Then, a few months ago I added Celestial (nka Sugar) to the pack. She was not a foster but her posts spoke to me and when I met her in person I couldn’t resist her cute personality. She is a fospice due to having terminal cancer. Five dogs. I thought my pack was complete. But then I started thinking about getting another male dog since all of them are females except Chip. When I saw Mel Dorado (dachshund puppy) I knew he would be the perfect addition. I am a sucker for dogs with light eyes and chocolate coloring. And now my Cookie Bunch is complete. For real this time. I named him Turtle (another cookie). I am so thankful to DRR for allowing me to follow my heart when it says this one needs to stay.
