I truly believe Minuet hit the jackpot with Alice Pollard and Renae Fogarty of Little Elm, TX. Both are retired and have the time and love to give Minuet exactly what she needs. She’ll have two fur sisters—Finley, a 5-year-old Shih Tzu mix, and Darby, an 8-year-old Frenchie—to learn from and bond with. There’s a big yard for running and playing, and I even heard there may be some boat rides in her future. Could this little girl become the boating queen? We’ll have to wait and see!

Alice and Renae are no strangers to Brussels Griffons—“the Velcro breed,” as Alice calls them. They previously had two, Bayla and Griffin (both rescues), who lived long, happy lives with them. Griffin just passed last year, and Alice shared that she is still grieving his loss. It touched my heart when she wrote that she and Minuet needed each other—as a way to honor Griff while also saving each other. I know that feeling well, and I do believe the ones we’ve lost would want us to give another dog the same chance at a happy life.

I’m so excited to watch this once-scared little girl continue to blossom on the Happy Tails page. Her new name hasn’t been decided yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Happy life, “Lil’ Bit”—-you were such a good girl for me!

Miss Minuet has fully recovered from her spay and is doing great!

At just 7 lbs, she may be tiny, but don’t be fooled—she can keep up with the big dogs and has zero fear. Forget baby toys; this girl goes straight for the big bones and balls. Drop something (like a roll of paper towels), and you’d better be quick—she’ll snatch it up and dash off like it’s her prize.

She’s also learning to walk on a leash ( made me think of a flying squirrel) it won’t be long before she’s strutting right alongside you.

Minuet has a softer side too—she loves basking in the sun, being carried around in one hand, and of course, endless cuddles.

She’s ready to find her forever home, one that appreciates a little dog with a huge personality. Could that be you?
